WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A therapist at the Wausau Comprehensive Treatment Center has been accused of inappropriately touching a patient.
Aaron Mielke is facing two felony counts for 3rd-degree sexual assault and sexual exploitation by a therapist. Investigators say he called the woman into his office when she was there for a session, then locked the door.
According to the woman he grabbed her from behind and touched her inappropriately, saying he would be thinking about her all day. Additionally, she said Mielke slapped her backside as she was leaving.
She told investigators that she froze during the incident and didn’t respond
Charges against Mielke are Class F and G felonies. The most serious charge against him carries a maximum sentence of 12.5 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. Combined the charges carry 22.5 years in prison and $50,000 in fines.
Mielke signed a $10,000 signature bond on Wednesday with several conditions including no contact with the victim and no contact with any other patients of WCTC unless they are his relatives. He will also be required to complete pretrial monitoring through ATTIC.
His next court appearance will be September 12th.
