“Pinky” Lutrell Challoner, 79, of Wisconsin Rapids,
passed away on Wednesday morning, April 25, 2018, while under the care of her
family and Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born on Sep. 21, 1938, in Bayfield, Wisconsin,
one of 19 children to the late Clarence and Madeline (Goodwin) Holden. On June
11, 1955, her marriage to Eugene Challoner took place in Lodi. Eugene died on
May 11, 2011.
Pinky was a self-employed tax preparer and enjoyed
sewing, puzzles, building doll houses, gardening, watching wildlife and feeding
the birds.
Survivors include her daughters, LouJeana Kitowski,
Brenda (Alan) Hobbick and Wendy (Randy) Challoner-Stensberg all of Wisconsin
Rapids; grandchildren, Eugene Allen, Jill Kitowski, Jason (Faith) Szelagowski,
Lucaus Challoner, Lorraine (Reginald) Crumpton, Andrew Challoner-Stensberg and
Jessica Stensberg; step-grandson, Zachary (Shelby) Hobbick; 11
great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on
Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
The Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial
Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday morning from
9:00 a.m. until the time for service. The Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored
