Kathleen Hollman
of Bullhead City, Arizona, and formerly of Rothschild, Wisconsin, joined family
and friends in Heaven on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the age of 86.She was baptized in the Christian faith in
1931, attended Zion Christian Day School, and was confirmed in 1945.She graduated from Wausau East High School in
1949.In 2000, she became a member of
Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
Kathleen loved and
lived life to the fullest.She had an
enjoyable career with Marathon County Government as the department head of the
Property Assessments and Taxation Department in and for Marathon County.Under her guidance, the department became a
model of independence, praised by the state of Wisconsin, and followed by other
counties within the state.Kathleen also
had other short-term and part-time jobs while raising her children.One of them included being a driver for the
Tiddee Diddee Diaper Service.
She enjoyed
numerous kinds of volunteer work and oh how she enjoyed the companionship and
outings with her Red Hat group.One of
her greatest joys was traveling to the homes of relatives or friends, or the
numerous tours she had taken with her sister, Shirley, throughout the
years.In more recent years, it was the
cruises that kept her smiling.Raising
her four children was what gave her the greatest sense of accomplishment.
Survivors include
her children, Tarrie (John) Rychlinski of Tacoma, Washington; Cynthia (John)
Yuhasz of Bullhead City, Arizona; Thomas Hollman of Green Acres, Florida; and
David (Jennifer) Hollman of Spring Hill, Tennessee.She is also the proud grandmother of 16
grandchildren and great-grandmother to 30.Kathleen is also survived by sister, Debby (Tom) Zaremba of Wausau, and
many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kathleen’s
parents, Herbert and Rose; sister, Shirley; grandson, Nicholas; and best friend
of 58 years, Lucy, will be there to welcome her at the Gate.
A funeral service
will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church,
6205 Alderson St., Weston, with Rev. Lance Hoelscher officiating.Family and friends may call on Tuesday, May
22, at Helke Funeral Home, Wausau, beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Visitation continues Wednesday, beginning at
10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park,
town of Texas.
