Jeanette K. Anklam, 79, passed away peacefully with her
husband by her side on May 15, 2019, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on October 4, 1939, to the late Klaas and
Cornelia (Van Prooyen) Vlietstra. She married Larry Anklam on October 1, 1977,
at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Wausau. Together they had one son,
Larry. She enjoyed going shopping, gardening, collecting and selling Avon and
Tupperware, traveling with Larry, camping, traditional country music and most
of all spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of 42 years; one son,
Larry, Jr.; three sisters, Minnie Holstein, Carolyn Holzem, Corrine Spartz;
along with many nieces, nephews and good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jacob
Vlietstra; two sisters, Henrietta Fraaza, Grace Merriam; brother and sisters-in-law,
Henry Holstein, Jack Fraaza, Dan Merriam, and Marilyn Vlietstra.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019,
at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 423 Washington St., Wausau, with Rev.
Philip Schneider officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of
service at 11:00 a.m.
