GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The 2024 NFL draft is only 4 days away, and the Green Bay Packers have wrapped up their official and pro-day visits for players they’re eyeing to select. Here is WSAU’s third mock draft of the season.
Round 1 pick 25: Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims. The Packers hosted Mims for an official Top 30 visit earlier this month, and the team has spoken about the need to improve their offensive line long-term before signing Andre Dillard to a deal. Mims is considered a project due to the lack of starts for the Bulldogs, but this wouldn’t be the first time Green Bay has selected a Georgia player in the first round since they took Quay Walker in 2022 with very little starting experience.
At nearly 6'8" and 340 lbs, a 5.07u is insane. Wow, @amarius_mims 😳

Round 2 pick 41: Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry: The Packers may need to trade up on Day 2 to get McKinstry, but with recent concerns surrounding a Jones fracture in his foot, some reports say teams no longer view him as a first-round prospect. Green Bay hosted McKinstry for an official visit earlier this month and interviewed him during his pro day, so the team appears to be interested in using a top-50 pick on him.
Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry probably made himself some money here at pro day, running a 40 that scouts clocked as low as 4.47 — despite a Jones fracture that doctors discovered at the combine. He’ll have surgery Friday and is expected to be full go for camp. pic.twitter.com/mee0fEihE3

Round 2 pick 58: Western Michigan edge rusher Marshawn Kneeland: Green Bay hosted Kneeland for an official visit this week, and with the team’s transition from the 3-4 scheme to the 4-3 scheme, the Packers will need to invest in a young edge rusher/defensive end that fits the scheme long-term, and Kneeland has been a rumored popular player around the organization in recent weeks.
A lot of buzz lately for #WesternMichigan edge Marshawn Kneeland, who has one of the busiest pre-draft itineraries you’ll see. He visited the #Texans, #Vikings, #Buccaneers, #Panthers and #Colts this week, part of a 16-team visit schedule for the late first-/early second-rounder. pic.twitter.com/iv7uJXEOot

Round 3 pick 88: Clemson inside linebacker Jerimiah Trotter Jr. The Packers let veteran De’Vondre Campbell leave in free agency, leaving a large hole at linebacker heading into the 2024 season. With fan favorite Edgerrin Cooper likely being taken early in the second round, Trotter Jr. would be a nice value selection for the team after recording a strong 2023 season for the Tigers with 27 total pressures, 13 QB hurries, 7 QB hits, and 7 sacks.
Round 3 pick 91: Oregon running back Bucky Irving: The loss of Aaron Jones will certainly be felt this upcoming season, but the selection of Irving would help fill that hole due to his ability to catch the ball and run in space, as he averaged 6.3 yards per catch on 52 receptions for the Ducks in 2023. Plus, this would give the Packers the “Thunder & Lighting” look they like with Josh Jacobs now on the team.
